Assist in facility HVAC systems management including PM development, budgeting, system assessments, and life cycle planning. Assist in the temporary shutdown of the facility’s HVAC equipment, systems, and electrical components necessary for renovation, repair, and new construction projects. Design, construct, install and remove various facility HVAC equipment, systems, and HVAC components. Diagnose malfunctions in the facility’s HVAC equipment, systems, or HVAC components and take appropriate corrective and preventative actions. Maintain appropriate documentation for the facility’s HVAC equipment, systems, and HVAC components. Maintain appropriate inventory of replacement electrical equipment and systems. Maintain the hospital computerized maintenance management system through the appropriate completion of work orders and the recording of equipment history. Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on all facility HVAC and refrigeration equipment, systems, and components in accordance with prescribed procedures. Provide quality control for new installations or replacements of the facility’s HVAC and refrigeration equipment, systems and HVAC components performed by others. Qualifications include an Associate degree in related construction, engineering, or HVAC field of study, Master HVAC certification program or equivalent, 5 years of experience in HVAC field, and 3 years of hospital maintenance, construction, or mechanical system experience preferred. Travel is required never or rarely.
