Litigation Legal Assistant
Location: Lakewood, CO
Onsite Requirement: In-office for the first full year. After that, employees have a flexible schedule.
Beacon Hill Legal is partnering with a well-established law firm in Lakewood, CO, seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to support their dynamic litigation department. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a long-term opportunity with WFH flexibility after the first year.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and paralegals handling litigation, foreclosure, and covenant enforcement matters
Draft and send demand letters, as well as compile supporting materials as needed
Assist with all aspects of trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, building trial binders, and managing discovery materials
Handle electronic document management such as organizing, extracting, and consolidating files
Submit legal filings electronically with courts and record documents with applicable county offices
Manage the opening and closing of legal matters and keep all associated deadlines accurately calendared
Interact professionally with clients, courts, and internal teams via written and verbal communication
Track case progress, update internal reports, and ensure files are current
Revise billing proformas and provide general administrative support to attorneys
Take on additional projects and tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
At least two years of professional office experience; one year of legal experience is strongly preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook; experience with legal billing or case management systems is a plus
Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Skilled in grammar, editing, and document formatting
Capable of handling shifting priorities and working efficiently in a deadline-driven environment
Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable both independently and as part of a team
