Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight and direction to ensure adherence to best practices and protocols in the obstetric unit.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, including obstetricians, nurses, midwives, and support staff, to deliver safe, comprehensive patient care.
• Implement new technologies and evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
• Develop strategic plans for resource allocation, budgeting, and procurement.
• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous learning.
• Drive initiatives to improve patient and employee satisfaction, making ongoing improvements based on feedback.

Minimum Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited institution and Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Active medical license in VA with current DEA registration.
• At least 5 years of clinical experience in Obstetrics; leadership experience preferred.
• Expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies and emergency obstetric situations.
• Strong commitment to quality care, evidence-based practice, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
• Experience in policy development, strategic planning, and budget management.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in obstetrics.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality outcomes, and satisfaction.
