Job Description:

MaineGeneral is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to work at Gardiner Family Medicine. This position is ideal for someone interested in providing psychiatry services while working in collaboration with a primary care medical team. The PMHNP will function as a clinical leader, providing direct patient care and serving as a resource for other staff in guiding decision making, implementing treatment plans and improving comprehensive quality of care. This full-time position involves 32 hours of patient-seeing time, with an additional eight hours dedicated to administrative work.

The PMHNP will:

• provide psychiatric evaluations and determine diagnoses

• prescribe and manage psychiatric medications

• work collaboratively with case management, counseling and primary care medical staff

• have the opportunity to be involved with either individual or group-based MAT treatment services
