This position supports the work of the YMCA, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer (COO) serves as a vital member of the CEO’s senior leadership team and ensures the successful day-to-day operation of YMCA branches. This role is instrumental in aligning programs and services with the Y’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities while positioning the YMCA as a community convener and collaborator in addressing critical social issues. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (Master's preferred). At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, including at least 5 years in a senior management role within a nonprofit organization. Proven experience in nonprofit management, program implementation, and staff leadership. Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels. Knowledge of nonprofit governance and experience working with a Board of Directors.
